Description:-

Amphonex 50 mg Injection is an antifungal medicine used to treat serious and potentially life-threatening infections caused by different fungal species. The liposomal form of this medicine has been shown to be less nephrotoxic than the conventional form. Incidences of infusion-related adverse reactions associated with the liposomal form are also fewer than that of the conventional form.

Candidemia

This medicine is used for the treatment of candidemia, a condition where the fungi of the Candida species are present in the blood.

Cryptococcosis

This medicine is used for the treatment of fungal infections caused by Cryptococcus species.

Febrile Neutropenia

This medicine is used to treat the development of fever in patients with neutropenia (low number of neutrophils in the blood).

Pregnancy

A drug preparation that contains the active drug inside very tiny, fat-like particles. This form is easier for the body to absorb and allows more drug to get to the target area of the body, such as a tumor. 

How do you make Amphonex?

Administration and Dosage: Instruction for use: Reconstitute each vial of AMPHONEXTM with 12mL of Water for Injection and shake the vial vigorously till a yellow uniform translucent solution is obtained. Amphotericin B content in this reconstituted solution is about 4mg/mL.
